Strong neighbourhoods don't happen by accident. They are built by investing in the places where people live their everyday lives.

A great park. A library that is open when families need it. A community centre where seniors and young people can connect. Roads that are maintained. These are the things that make a neighbourhood feel like home.

Shelley has spent her career fighting for those investments in Don Valley North. From new and improved parks and playgrounds, to expanded library access, youth opportunities, community programs and local events, she has worked to turn residents' priorities into tangible improvements.

As Don Valley North grows, Shelley will keep fighting for the parks, libraries, community centres, roads, flood protection and public spaces our community needs while making sure new investments are thoughtful, accessible and shaped by the people who live here.

• Parks: Invest in better parks, playgrounds, trails and green spaces that are safe, accessible and well-maintained.

• Libraries: Keep libraries open and accessible while expanding the programs and services residents rely on.

• Community Centres: Invest in modern, accessible community centres with more opportunities for recreation, learning and connection.

• Seniors: Expand programs, services and spaces that help seniors stay active, connected and independent.

• Youth: Create more opportunities for young people through recreation, employment, mentorship and leadership programs.

• Festivals: Support the local festivals, events and community organizations that bring neighbours together.

• Roads: Invest in better-maintained roads, sidewalks and infrastructure to keep neighbourhoods moving safely.

• Flood Protection: Strengthen stormwater and flood protection infrastructure to better protect homes, parks and neighbourhoods.

• Thoughtful Neighbourhood Improvements: Listen to residents and deliver practical, accessible improvements that make their neighbourhoods better places to live.

Making Toronto more affordable starts with respecting taxpayers and making every dollar go further. Residents should be able to count on their city to spend responsibly, deliver better value and protect the services they rely on every day.

Shelley has a proven record of responsible financial management from helping secure Toronto’s first credit-rating increase in decades to finding hundreds of millions in savings and pushing for a better deal for Toronto from the provincial government. She knows that affordability isn't just about taxes; it's about the value residents get for what they pay.

That means cutting red tape and finding smarter ways to deliver city services, protecting frontline services that families depend on, and making sure investments are focused on what matters most. It also means building more housing, keeping transit reliable and affordable, and ensuring Toronto remains a place where people can afford to live, work and build a life.

Shelley will keep fighting for responsible financial management, better value for taxpayers and a city government that delivers more without asking residents to pay more than necessary.

• Manage Finances Responsibly: Balance the budget, find savings and make smart investments that protect Toronto’s long-term financial health.

• Deliver Better Value for Taxpayers: Make every tax dollar go further by improving efficiency, finding savings and focusing spending on what matters most.

• Increase Housing: Cut barriers and work with partners to build more housing, including more affordable and family-sized homes.

• Child Care & Long-Term Care: Expand access to quality child care and long-term care spaces so families can get the support they need closer to home.

• Reduce Red Tape: Simplify city processes and cut unnecessary bureaucracy so residents and businesses can get things done faster.

• Protect Frontline Services: Protect the services residents depend on every day while finding smarter, more efficient ways to deliver them.

• Keep Transit Reliable: Improve TTC reliability, service and connections so residents can get where they need to go without unnecessary delays.

People should feel safe where they live, work, raise their families and spend time in their community. That takes more than promises. It takes leadership that knows what works and gets it done.

Shelley has a proven record of delivering on public safety. As Chair of the Toronto Police Services Board, she helped put in place a Multi-Year Hiring Plan to rebuild police staffing, strengthened neighbourhood policing, expanded Community Safety Hubs and worked to improve emergency response times.

She also knows that a safe city isn't measured only by what happens when someone calls 911. It is about preventing problems before they become emergencies and making sure our neighbourhoods are safe, welcoming and well cared for.

For Don Valley North, that means more police presence where it is needed, safer roads and intersections, better emergency preparedness, well-maintained parks and public spaces, and stronger partnerships between police, community organizations and residents.

Shelley will keep standing up for the practical investments and experienced leadership that make our neighbourhoods safer and keep delivering results residents can see.

• Expand Neighbourhood Policing: Continue the Multi-Year Hiring Plan and expand Community Police Officers in neighbourhoods where they are needed most.

• Make Streets Safer: Improve dangerous intersections, traffic safety and pedestrian infrastructure to help everyone get around safely.

• Strengthen Emergency Response: Invest in the people, resources and technology needed to ensure residents get help quickly when they need it most.

• Improve Parks & Public Spaces: Invest in lighting, pathways, maintenance and other improvements that help residents feel safe and comfortable in their neighbourhoods.

• Strengthen Community Safety Partnerships: Create an additional Community Safety Hub, expand youth programs and partnerships that connect residents with the services and support they need.

• Prepare for Emergencies: Strengthen Toronto’s ability to respond to extreme weather, snow storms, flooding and other emergencies while protecting residents and critical infrastructure.
