The work I've done

I helped find hundreds of millions of dollars in City savings through budget and efficiency reviews, put Toronto's first Long-Term Financial Plan in place and helped secure the New Deal with the Province. That work contributed to a stronger financial footing and the City's first credit-rating increase in 20 years.

I have pushed for tax relief for thousands of small businesses, including businesses in suburban strip malls, and launched a Red Tape Hotline to make it easier to start and run a business. I have also worked to freeze TTC fares, expand Sunday library hours and support longer summer pool hours and the Student Nutrition Program. For seniors, our work has included property-tax relief, recreation supports, Seniors Guides and information days.

Those choices matter because affordability is about both what residents pay and the value they get back.

What I'll do next

  • Hold property taxes in line with inflation and keep looking for savings and better value.

  • Protect frontline City services while making it easier for residents to get timely answers.

  • Improve TTC reliability and local connections so a missed bus doesn't disrupt a whole day.

  • Cut unnecessary red tape and support small businesses and local jobs.

  • Work with partners to build more housing, including affordable and family-sized homes.

  • Expand access to child care and long-term care closer to home.
